Fiqh is the study of Islamic Law pertaining to Worship (العبادة), Family (الاسرة) and Interactions (المعاملات) and more! In this subject we are taught how to operate within the legal framework of Islam such as:

• How to purify ourselves and pray Salah.
• How to fast in Ramadan.
• How to carry put the rituals of Hajj.
• How to get married.
• How to carry out islamic financial dealings.

Mufti Menk empowers us with Imam Nawawi's forty ahadith, quite possibly the most widely accepted book of Hadith that encapsulates the essence of Islam. Each lesson he covers a new hadith out of the 42 mentioned in the book. He delves into the explanations of the Hadith from the classical scholars as well as the practical benefit derived from it as well. Learning this book of Hadith will educate us on:

• The core characteristics a Muslim should aspire to have.
• The foundations of faith and practising it correctly.
• The legal framework of Islam as well as its spiritual and social framework.

Sirah is the historical study of the biography of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and the companions who surrounded him. It looks into the story and context of what took place during his time. From the battles to tragic events that shaped the development of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) and His companions - it is a deep study containing historical reflections and precise contextual insights that seeks to empower students with rich understanding of early Islamic History. Students will learn:

• The Medinan Phase of Prophecy.
• The Study of the Ahl al-Bayt.
• The Study of 10 Promised Jannah.
• The Study of the Great Companions.

Tajwid is the science of intonation and recitation of the Qur’an. It is the deep study into both the Theoretical (عم) and Practical (علم) knowledge of how to read the Quran with the correct rules of recitation. ٍStudents who take this module will learn:

• The Pronounciation of the Letters (المخارج)
• The Qualities of the Letters.(الصفات)
• Rules pertaining to recitation (الاحكام) and elongation (المدود)

Tafsir is the study of the meanings of the Qur’an from the understanding of the early scholars (اهل السلف ) and those who specialise in the field (المفسرون). The way it is taught at Eman Academy is with the inclusion of Pondering and Reflection (تدبر وتفكر). Students are encouraged to reflect over passages both in its linguistic and spiritual aspects. Students will learn:

• Explanation of the 30th Juzz.
• Explanation of Surah al-Mulk.
• Explanation of Surah Yasin.
